STREET PAINTING

As part of UPLB Babaylan's plan to increase buzz and awareness about the new LGBT organization in LB, they they participated in the PINTAKALYE street painting activity of UP Tau Gamma Phi and UP Tau Gamma Sigma. 

Founding members and officers of UPLB Babaylan gathered last August 19, 2009 in front of the Humanities Building, where they made a 5 X 8 foot street painting of Out Now. This marked the Organization's first step towards the biggest celebration of diversity and gender equality in UP Los Baños.

LAUNCHING ACTIVITIES

In order to launch the organization's existence in UPLB, several activities are lined up to let the UPLB Community know about the organization and the LGBT community, and mark the beginning of the quest for gender equality in the campus.

UPLB Babaylan Induction Party!

Last August 1 2009, the slopes of Mt. Makiling gave birth to a new milestone in the long struggle for gender equality in the Philippines. 43 brave individuals from the University of the Philippines Los Baños came together and went through an orientation, intensive training and a series of modules from Babaylanes, Inc., the alumni network of UP Babaylan, and composed the Founding Members and Officers of UPLB Babaylan.

In the evening, the founding members and officers were formally inducted, together with Sir Mike Lopez, Faculty Adviser.
